Authentic Know How from craftsman
According to Amélie Ricard, the conception of a boxwood beaded pearl artcraft is an authentic moving art.
LA MAISON 1909 can also be considered as a laboratory, devoted to imagine technical solutions to realize original and most of the times unique decoration projects to make sure that the conception and the realization of a wooden curtain or a wider project, are made as close as possible to the client’s projection, combining both flexibility and inventiveness.
Anything Goes!
The wooden pearl and its hook can be combined within unlimited realizations. The core principle relies on the mastery over the whole production process from the workshop situated in Monfavet and assertive skills in the realization of curtains and the different supports and appropriate setup devises that are specifically adapted to each project.
To guarantee a real creative freedom, standardized format are left behind!
The wooden pearl
All our realizations started from the Boxwood Pearl.
The workshop works from an assortment of four different traditional pearl shapes: The Grande Perle Lisse, the Perle Mimosa, the Olivette and the Petite Perle Ronde. Besides, we are now able to offer a collection of different coloured beads allowing our artisan to realize unique patterns and logos thus responding to the growing demand from our clients for 100% original and personalized creations.
The unique Know-How from LA MAISON 1909 has been strengthened and enriched for four generations. The artisan workshop situated at Monfavet, near Avignon, has steadily built up a solid reputation of quality and reliability.
Amélie Ricard has been running the family owned company since 2013. She uses this solid heritage to open new export markets and new development ideas in line with the last home living and architecture trends.
That is how the art of boxwood bead curtains and traditional Provence iconography are both revisited and used to create new objects, new usages and atmospheres.
By offering authentic wooden beads combining unique colours, shapes and sizes, monumental realizations for outside and inside projects, new pictures and refined design graphical motifs and soon new wood species :
La MAISON 1909 has its future before her.
Utility and beauty
By playing with the infinite combinations of wooden beads, colours, sizes, uses and graphics, Amélie Ricard suggests the wooden curtain as the flagship element of modern décor. Fitting both inside and outside architectures and spaces, the curtain knows how to occupy the place with an increasing boldness. Nothing can stop him as he perfectly merges with any scenery: he knows how to be minimalist or exuberant, inviting himself upon furniture, around the stairs, lining the walls, posing as an ornamental paintwork or turning into a folding screen.
Nowadays he does not hesitate to play with the boxwood warmth, the motion of its structure, the different colour tones, so it creates elegant and subtle atmospheres created from attractive light and shadow effects.
